Dear Resident, Here is our weekly update from the Northfield Neighbourhood team. Our Priorities - Retail Crime & High Street Safety: Addressing shoplifting and antisocial behaviour on Northfield High Street through partnership with the Northfield Business Improvement District (BID)
- Targeting Drug Offences: Increasing patrols to address reports of drug use and dealing, with Operation Wayfarer focusing on disrupting these issues.
- Begging and Street Population: Addressing issues around street begging, drug use and anti social behaviour in public spaces.
- Crime Prevention & Youth Intervention: Focussing on reducing shop theft, providing early intervention and tackling organised crime in the Birmingham area
What’s been happening? - Officers have assisting with numerous traffic collisions on our ward.
- A stolen vehicle was recovered by officer's in the Longbridge area.
- Assisted with fire incident on Kings Norton.
- Multiple patrols of Northfield High Street
Good News - A male was arrested for kidnapping
- Community Meeting at a local store
- Assisted with broken down vehicle on Egghill Lane
